With careful listening to the patients story and specific diagnostic examination,
most cases of tailbone pain can be very well explained and treated
– Patrick Foye

Guest in this episode is Dr. Patrick Foye. Patrick is an American physician that is based in New Jersey, near New York and the founder and director of the Coccyx Pain Center (Tailbone Pain Center). He is also a professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers University. He became a true specialist in the field of tailbone pain and has treated thousands of patients over his more than 25 years of experience. People from all over the world contact him. Around 40% of his patients that consult him come to see him by plane and they come from all over the US and Canada but also from countries in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Patrick is one of the most well known people in the tailbone world and was one of the most prominent speakers at the World Congress. He is a true ambassador for getting the knowledge about tailbone pain out there and no one has given so many medical lectures about tailbone pain, published so many medical journal articles and chapters or parts of medical textbooks for doctors, as he did. He speaks worldwide about the topics and was at all the editions of world symposium for tailbone pain.
In addition to medical content for physicians, he also creates a lot of easy-to-understand material directly for patients suffering from tailbone pain. In 2015 he published the only book known to me about tailbone pain: “Tailbone Pain Relief Now!”. He has an extensive website under tailbonedoctor.com and also a YouTube channel with under that name with over 1,5 million views. On both he shares a lot of valuable info in an easy understandable way so it is very accessible for patients as well.
Even more importantly then all the work he put out there; he treats people with tailbone pain very frequently so his knowledge isn’t just coming from books. He is very experienced in the matter and with Tailbone Pain Center he runs a center that is fully specilialised on this subject.
Patrick had so much valuable info to offer, we split it in two episodes.
The first episode will cover what tailbone pain is, how and why it is often misdiagnosed and how a propper diagnosis can be established.
In the second episode we dive into the therapy and mainly Patrick’s expertise, that of injections.
You will learn about his extensive knowledge and experience and especially also his extreme enthusiasm about the topic and willingness to share the message that there is help out there.
